California Duo Sentenced For Tricking 94-Year Old Homeowner Into Signing Over Title To House; Court Orders Ownership To Be Restored In Victim's Name
The San Bernardino, California District Attorney's Office announced:
- A Victorville couple was sentenced to county jail on felony charges connected to real estate fraud and financial elder abuse. Joe Warf, 51, and Tracy Warf, 41, appeared in Victorville Superior Court on Friday, April 10, 2009. The pair was sentenced to 250 days and 365 days county jail, respectively, for financial elder abuse. Both will be placed on formal supervised probation for five years at the conclusion of their sentences.
- In June 2008, Joe and Tracy Warf deceived the 94-year-old victim into signing over his San Bernardino home to them. The San Bernardino County District Attorney's Real Estate Fraud Unit conducted an investigation and arrested Joe and Tracy Warf on November 24, 2009. The court has already ordered that title to the San Bernardino house be transferred back into the victim's name.

Total miss justice. i Joe Warf did nothing wrong. The way our justice system works is a joke. You are forced into pleading guilty. They wear you down, keep you locked up away from your kids untill they get there way. I swear I did nothing wrong. That old man lied and the minutes from court show it. Tracy was spending a lot of his money and it wasnt right. I called and brought in his family and showed them the proof. The thing on the house was totally legal, there was 2 realtors a notary, a lic. nurse myself and tray there when he signed the quick claim deed. Because of the divorce tracy and i started to go through tracy did not want to split the house that was signed over to us legally. The old man wanted us to have it, it was even in his living trust to be given to Tracy when he died. But because of the divorce they both didnt want me to have a part of it so they both went to the da and told lies. God knows the truth and the old man will have to answer to God. so will Tracy. This has ruined my life but vengance is the Lords thats what gives me piece of mind. I will take a lie dector test anything at all to prove i did nothing wrong. After being forced to give a guilty plea to get home to my kids and house, both of which i was losing. I went straight to a paid atty, 2 of them and after seeing my proof which i had no access to while being locked up. both atty asked why i plead guilty, both said they could reverse my plea and both said i would be justisfied and found not guilty. But both also said taking back my plea, the judge would start over and unless i had 350,000 dollars for bail i would be put back inside, away from my kids and would loose my house. Fair??? all i wanted was to prove i did nothing wrong...justice???? Hell No. Thats the way it works with our system. so here i am reading my once good name on the net and feeling sicken. Its a damn shame and a miss-carraige of justice
